Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager for North Western Sydney projects. This hands-on role involves working closely with project teams to ensure practical, compliant HSE systems on site, with travel across NSW.

You will lead inspections, audits and incident investigations, while supporting ISO and OFSC compliance and continuous safety improvements. This is a full-time on-site position with a company vehicle or car allowance.

Qualifications

• HSE/WHS experience in new build projects.
• Relevant WHS qualification.
• Strong understanding of NSW WHS legislation.
• Experience with audits and HSE management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO and OFSC requirements.
• Practical, approachable and confident with site teams.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across NSW.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance checks.
• Support project teams with WHS requirements and risk management.
• Review SWMS, documentation and HSE systems.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Support ISO and OFSC compliance.
• Provide practical HSE guidance to site teams and subcontractors.

• Split time between site visits and office-based work.
• No WFH.

An opportunity is available for an experienced HSEQ Advsior looking to take the next step into a manager or an experienced Manager to join a growing construction business with projects across NSW.

This is a genuinely hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role for someone who enjoys being out on site, working with project teams and ensuring HSE systems are practical, compliant and being followed.

The Role

• Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance checks
• Support project teams with WHS requirements and risk management
• Review SWMS, documentation and HSE systems
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions
• Support ISO and OFSC compliance
• Provide practical HSE guidance to site teams and subcontractors
• Identify opportunities to improve safety systems and processes
• Split your time between morning site visits and afternoon office-based work
• No WFH

• HSE/WHS experience within the new build sector
