Job summary

United Rentals seeks a proactive HSEQ Advisor to drive safety culture, compliance and continuous improvement across branches and sites in Australia. You will coach leaders, conduct audits, manage risks and support injury management with a hands-on approach and regular site travel.

The role requires a tertiary WHS qualification and 3–5 years of related experience, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, plus knowledge of NHVL/CoR requirements and proficiency in MS Office and

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in HSEQ, safety, risk or compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and risk management principles.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• ICAM Incident Investigation qualification or similar methodology experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to promote a strong safety culture across multiple sites.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and compliance reviews to ensure legislative and company requirements are met.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions, drive continuous improvement.
• Assist branches to identify and manage workplace risks using risk management processes.
• Review and maintain risk registers, safety documentation, SWMS and procedures.
• Provide coaching and training to build HSEQ capability.
• Monitor HSEQ performance, analyse trends and contribute to safety reporting.
