Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a HSEQ Advisor to join our team on a full-time basis, based out of Doncaster and reporting to the Regional HSEQ Manager. The role provides day-to-day support across multiple operations including concrete plants, quarries, workshops, laboratories, and customer sites.

You will work hands-on, travel between sites, coach managers, assist with training, incidents investigations, and drive continuous improvement within our Integrated Risk Management Systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' dedicated experience in WHS/Environment coordination in a high‑risk industry.
• Experience in quarry environments is highly valued.
• Certificate IV in OHS/WHS or higher is required.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is preferred.
• Lead Auditor experience and ICAM Investigator qualifications are preferred.
• Reliable, able to work independently and collaboratively with teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and coaching to site managers on risk identification, assessment and control.
• Engage with front line personnel formally (audits) and informally (on site leadership).
• Identify and report conformance to internal systems and support continuous improvement.
• Assist with HSEQ training delivery per the National training plan.
• Maintain records of training, competency assessments, skills and qualifications.
• Lead investigations of HSE incidents and near-misses.
• Support site leaders with HSEQ material at site meetings.
• Assist Injury Management and WorkCover coordination for rehabilitated personnel.
• Analyze data to identify non-compliance and recommend action.
• Raise events in the HSEQ database and ensure timely closeouts.
