Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia seeks an experienced HSEQ Compliance Manager to support quarry operations across Queensland. You will partner with Quarry Managers and the HSEQ team to strengthen compliance, improve systems and drive regional standards.

This leadership role combines regulatory knowledge with hands-on guidance, coaching operational leaders to achieve sustainable compliance outcomes across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in compliance, safety, environmental or operational leadership within quarrying/mining/heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for quarry operations in Queensland.
• Ability to influence, coach and develop frontline leaders and teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert compliance guidance to Quarry Managers and leaders across Queensland.
• Coach and mentor site teams to strengthen compliance capability and safety/environmental practices.
• Review, improve and standardise systems, processes and documentation with HSEQ teams.
• Lead regional compliance improvement initiatives aligned with national objectives.
• Monitor regulatory changes and support sites in maintaining ongoing compliance obligations.
• Develop tools, templates and resources to simplify compliance requirements and support operations.
• Collaborate with other regions to share learnings and drive continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support positive compliance outcomes.
