Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia seeks an experienced HSEQ Compliance Manager to support quarry operations across Queensland. You will partner with Quarry Managers and the National HSEQ team to strengthen compliance, drive standardisation, and elevate safety and environmental performance across multiple sites.

You will lead coaching, develop regional initiatives, monitor legislative changes and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver sustainable compliance, safety excellence and operational

Qualifications

• Proven experience in compliance, safety, environmental or operational leadership within quarrying or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for quarry operations in Queensland.
• Able to influence, coach and develop frontline leaders and operational teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert compliance guidance to Quarry Managers and regional leaders across Queensland.
• Coach and mentor site teams to strengthen compliance and safety practices.
• Partner with operational and HSEQ teams to review and standardise systems and documentation.
• Lead regional compliance improvement initiatives aligned with national objectives.
• Monitor regulatory changes and support sites in maintaining ongoing obligations.
• Create practical tools, templates and resources to simplify compliance.
• Collaborate with other regions to share learnings and drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support outcomes.
