Qualifications

• Experience with integrated HSEQ management systems.
• Exposure to ISO 9001/14001 and/or ISO 45001 auditing processes.
• Policy, procedures and governance framework development experience.
• Ability to facilitate risk workshops and stakeholder consultation.
• Influence and relationship-building across all levels of an organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external HSEQ audits and maintain ISO accreditations.
• Design, review and continuously improve HSEQ policies and governance systems.
• Support the development and execution of the HSEQ strategy and initiatives.
• Facilitate risk workshops and safe design reviews.
• Drive corrective actions and governance activities.
• Lead incident investigations and promote organisational learning.
• Support psychosocial risk management and healthy workplace initiatives.
• Influence senior leaders to achieve positive HSEQ outcomes.
• Monitor compliance with legislation and accreditation requirements.

Sharp & Carter have been exclusively engaged to recruit a HSEQ Advisor for a growing and highly respected professional services organisation during a significant period of expansion. This position is focused on the strategic, corporate and governance aspects of HSEQ. It will suit someone who enjoys influencing stakeholders, designing systems and driving continuous improvement across a professional services environment.

About the Role

Reporting into the HSEQ Manager, you'll lead a broad range of initiatives focused on strengthening safety, quality and compliance across the organisation.

• Leading internal and external HSEQ audits and maintaining ISO accreditations across the business
• Designing, reviewing and continuously improving HSEQ policies, procedures and management systems
• Supporting the development and execution of the organisation's HSEQ strategy and key initiatives
• Facilitating risk workshops and safe design reviews
• Driving corrective actions, continuous improvement programs and governance activities
• Leading incident investigations and contributing to organisational learning outcomes
• Supporting psychosocial risk management initiatives and promoting mentally healthy workplaces
• Partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to influence positive HSEQ outcomes
• Monitoring compliance obligations and ensuring alignment with legislative and accreditation requirements

About You

You'll be an experienced HSEQ professional who enjoys working in a collaborative corporate environment and is comfortable engaging with stakeholders ranging from technical specialists through to senior executives.

• Degree qualifications in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong experience managing integrated HSEQ management systems
• Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 auditing and accreditation processes
• Demonstrated experience developing and reviewing policies, procedures and governance frameworks
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and stakeholder consultation processes
• The ability to influence, educate and build relationships across all levels of an organisation
• Previous experience within consulting, professional services, construction or similar environments
