Job summary

Tyre Doctor is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join the HSEQ & Training team in NSW. The role supports frontline leaders across workshops, warehouses, mine sites and field operations, with regular national travel.

You will coach teams, verify critical controls, investigate incidents and drive continuous safety and quality improvements. A Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS is preferred, with experience in high-risk industries.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
• Experience in mining, mining services, heavy equipment maintenance, logistics, construction or similar.
• Strong understanding of risk management, critical controls and workplace verification.
• Experience conducting workplace inspections, audits, investigations and assurance activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach with time in operational environments.
• Sound understanding of WHS legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience with safety management systems and reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational teams to promote a positive safety culture and strengthen risk ownership at all levels.
• Support the implementation and verification of Tyre Doctor's Critical Risk Management Framework.
• Conduct field leadership interactions, workplace inspections, audits and assurance activities across operational sites.
• Verify the effectiveness of critical controls for high-risk work activities.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action management.
• Assist operational leaders with risk assessments, workplace inspections and hazard management processes.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to supervisors and frontline employees to improve safety awareness and leadership capability.
• Support client safety interactions, site inspections, audits and customer assurance requirements.
• Monitor HSEQ performance and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain HSEQ documentation, procedures, standards and controls.
• Assist with training, competency verification and workforce capability initiatives.
• Contribute to quality assurance activities and drive consistency across Tyre Doctor's operations.
• Support return-to-work and injury management processes where required.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated HSEQ Advisor to join our HSEQ & Training team. Reporting to the National HSEQ & Training Manager, this role will work closely with operational leaders, field service personnel, workshop teams and our clients to strengthen safety performance, verify critical controls and support operational excellence across the business.

This is a hands‑on operational role suited to someone who enjoys being in the field, building relationships, coaching teams and helping create practical solutions that improve safety, quality and business performance.

The Opportunity

As an HSEQ Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting frontline leaders and employees across a diverse range of operational environments including workshops, warehouses, mine sites and field service operations. This role will be based in in our Muswellbrook Branch in NSW, with regular national travel.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with operational teams to promote a positive safety culture and strengthen risk ownership at all levels.
• Supporting the implementation and verification of Tyre Doctor's Critical Risk Management Framework.
• Conducting field leadership interactions, workplace inspections, audits and assurance activities across operational sites.
• Verifying the effectiveness of critical controls associated with high-risk work activities.

About You

You are an approachable and practical HSEQ professional who enjoys working alongside operational teams and influencing positive outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
• Experience within mining, mining services, heavy equipment maintenance, logistics, construction or another high-risk industry.
• Strong understanding of risk management, critical controls and workplace verification activities.
• Experience conducting workplace inspections, audits, investigations and assurance activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to spend significant time in operational environments.
• Sound understanding of WHS legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience with safety management systems and reporting platforms.
