Job summary

Tyre Doctor is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our HSEQ & Training team. Based in NSW with national travel, you will partner with operational leaders to strengthen safety performance, verify critical controls and drive operational excellence across the business.

You will work in an hands-on role, coaching teams in various environments including workshops, warehouses, mine sites and field service operations, helping create practical safety solutions and improved business

Main Duties

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated HSEQ Advisor to join our HSEQ & Training team. Reporting to the National HSEQ & Training Manager, this role will work closely with operational leaders, field service personnel, workshop teams and our clients to strengthen safety performance, verify critical controls and support operational excellence across the business.

This is a hands‑on operational role suited to someone who enjoys being in the field, building relationships, coaching teams and helping create practical solutions that improve safety, quality and business performance.

The Opportunity

As an HSEQ Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting frontline leaders and employees across a diverse range of operational environments including workshops, warehouses, mine sites and field service operations. This role will be based in in our Muswellbrook Branch in NSW, with regular national travel.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with operational teams to promote a positive safety culture and strengthen risk ownership at all levels.
• Supporting the implementation and verification of Tyre Doctor's Critical Risk Management Framework.
• Conducting field leadership interactions, workplace inspections, audits and assurance activities across operational sites.
• Verifying the effectiveness of critical controls associated with high-risk work activities.
• Supporting incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action management.
• Assisting operational leaders with risk assessments, workplace inspections and hazard management processes.
• Providing coaching and mentoring to supervisors and frontline employees to improve safety awareness and leadership capability.
• Supporting client safety interactions, site inspections, audits and customer assurance requirements.
• Monitoring HSEQ performance and assisting with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of HSEQ documentation, procedures, standards and operational controls.
• Assisting with training, competency verification and workforce capability initiatives.
• Contributing to quality assurance activities and helping drive consistency across Tyre Doctor's operations.
• Supporting return-to-work and injury management processes where required.

Qualifications

About You

You are an approachable and practical HSEQ professional who enjoys working alongside operational teams and influencing positive outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
• Experience within mining, mining services, heavy equipment maintenance, logistics, construction or another high-risk industry.
• Strong understanding of risk management, critical controls and workplace verification activities.
• Experience conducting workplace inspections, audits, investigations and assurance activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to spend significant time in operational environments.
• Sound understanding of WHS legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience with safety management systems and reporting platforms.

The following will be highly regarded:

• Experience working in mining or mining services environments.
• ICAM Lead Investigator training.
• Training and assessment qualifications.
