Job summary

Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia (BMSA) is seeking a Specialist HSEQ based in Brisbane to drive health, safety, environment and quality initiatives across QLD and interstate. You will work with the National HSEQ Team to ensure compliance with legislation, standards and customer protocols.

The role requires travel, strong communication, stakeholder management and a solid knowledge of HSEQ requirements. Join a global leader and contribute to continuous improvement and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal & written communication; procedure-writing skills preferred.
• Solid computing skills with MS Office suite.
• Strong relationship-building with internal & external stakeholders.
• Well-developed organizational & time management skills.
• Knowledge of current HSEQ statutory requirements.
• Commitment to safety of self and others.
• Willingness to travel intrastate and interstate regularly.
• Valid driver’s licence required.
• Current work rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Travel to BMSA sites and customer locations across Australia, especially QLD.
• Protect health and safety of workers and others by eliminating or minimizing risks.
• Ensure equipment, guidelines, and procedures comply with HSEQ standards.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to drive compliance.
• Assist in HSEQ investigations using data to determine corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the National HSEQ Team on initiatives.
• Promote a continuous improvement mindset across teams.
• Identify knowledge or skill gaps and arrange appropriate training.

To support our mission, we are currently seeking a Specialist Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) to work out of our Brisbane branch driving initiatives & compliance across QLD and interstate.

You will collaborate closely & regularly with the key influencers within BMSA to ensure our business complies with all mandated & legislated requirements including customer specific standards & protocols.

The Opportunity

• Frequent travel to BMSA & customer locations across Australia & specifically QLD.
• Protect the health (physical or psychological) & safety of workers & other people within the workplace by eliminating or minimizing risks
• Ensure all workplace equipment, systems, guidelines, practices & procedures comply with the relevant HSEQ legislation, standards & protocols
• Conduct regular & effective communication with all stakeholders
• Assist in & conduct HSEQ investigations through analysis, evidence & interpretation of data to determine appropriate corrective actions
• Collaborate closely with the National HSEQ Team

About You - Essential

About You - Preferred

• Experience working in a similar HSEQ role
• Relevant Tertiary Qualifications
• Knowledge or exposure to Off the Road (OTR) Tyres, mining or related industries
