Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is partnering with Rio Tinto for a Ranger Rehabilitation Project HSE Specialist, FIFO/DIDO, 2 weeks on/1 week off roster. You will lead HSE across safety disciplines, drive safety maturity, and support safe execution planning with the leadership team.

You will work with a supportive team focused on safety, collaboration and operational excellence, reporting to the H&S Superintendent and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure rigorous incident governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a H&S leadership role in a project environment.
• Tertiary qualification in H&S preferred.
• Strong understanding of Safety Regulations and Act.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Dedication to everyone's safety.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and other testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of H&S professionals across safety disciplines.
• Implement a safety maturity and continuous improvement plan.
• Support project leadership in safe execution planning of packages or work.
• Provide governance over incident investigations and ensure compliance with processes.
• Oversee management of HSE systems and tools to support the project.

Through Rio Tinto's partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced HSE Specialist for Ranger Rehabilitation Project.

Offered on a FIFO/DIDO basis, this opportunity offers the chance to work within a leading global organisation, contributing to key operational and business outcomes. Working a 2 weeks on 1 week off roster, you'll join a supportive team focused on safety, collaboration and delivering operational excellence.

Reporting to the H&S Superintendent, you'll use your skills and experience to support business priorities, collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to the success of the operation. In this role, you will:

• Lead a team of H&S professionals across the disciplines of safety, emergency response, training, radiation, health and Hygiene
• Implement a safety maturity (safety culture) continuous improvement plan
• Support the project leadership team in planning for safe execution of packages or work
• Provide governance and assurance over incident investigations and oversee compliance with investigation processes throughout the project
• Oversee the management of H&S systems and tools to support the project

About You
