Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced HSE policy specialist to assess, design and embed fit-for-purpose health, safety and environmental policies across Australia and New Zealand. You will take ownership of reviewing the framework and implementing improvements that meet legislative requirements.

The fixed-term role runs through to the end of 2026 (initially about 6 months). Office-based full-time (35 hours) or part-time 3–4 days per week will be considered, with BYO laptop and a strong focus on

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HSE policy development and framework review.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation across states.
• Experience with New Zealand safety frameworks or rapid adaptation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies and frameworks.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Embed a consistent safety culture across all locations, including NZ.
