Job summary

All Energy Contracting (AEC) is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working a 2:1 FIFO/DIDO roster. Located in North East Victoria near the Laceby Solar Farm, you will implement health and safety policies and foster a safety-first culture across all levels.

You will lead a small HSE team, develop procedures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Australian regulations on energy infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years’ HSE experience with managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Experience in energy infrastructure, civil construction or heavy industry/high hazard environments.
• Ability to develop and deliver training programmes.
• Knowledge of HammerTech, Employment Hero and Dash Pivot is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small site-based HSE team.
• Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify hazards.
• Provide training and support to staff on health and safety practices.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety across the organisation.
• Maintain records of health and safety activities and incidents.
• Oversee HSE compliance as principal contractor and liaise with management and subcontractors.
• Interact daily with client and external stakeholders.
