Job summary

All Energy Contracting (AEC) is hiring an Environmental Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in North East Victoria. The role supports project teams on environmental compliance, reporting and improvement initiatives, with a 2:1 FIFO/DIDO roster.

You will work under the Group Head HSES to build environmental capability across AEC. Ideal candidates have a related environmental degree, 3+ years in the field, knowledge of ISO 14001, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Environmental, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of environmental or sustainability experience, ideally in construction/renewables/infrastructure.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals, ISO 14001 and industry requirements.
• Experience with environmental inspections, monitoring, risk assessments and incident reporting.
• Experience with erosion and sediment control and waste management preferred.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills.
• Competent with environmental reporting systems and digital documentation.
• White Card and open Driver’s Licence required.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an engaging, hands-on Environmental Advisor to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working a 2:1 FIFO/DIDO roster.

Located in North East Victoria, the Laceby Solar Farm integrates a 60 MW AC solar generation system with 240 MWh of battery energy storage, designed to deliver reliable, low-carbon power to the regional grid. Combining renewable generation and advanced storage to ensure firm, dispatchable clean energy, supporting grid stability and Australia’s energy transition.

Working under the direction of the Group Head HSES and wider HSE team, you will provide practical environmental support across project and construction teams with a view to building our Environmental capability at AEC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor environmental plans, permits, approvals and compliance requirements.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Qualifications in Environmental, or a related discipline.
• 3 years + experience in environmental or sustainability roles, ideally within construction, renewables, civil or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals, ISO 14001 and industry requirements.
• Experience with environmental inspections, monitoring, risk assessments and incident reporting.
• Specific experience with erosion and sediment control and waste management preferred.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills.
• Competent with environmental reporting systems and digital documentation.
• White Card and open Driver’s Licence required.
