Job summary

Freo Group Pty Ltd is seeking a proactive HSE Advisor to support safety on major sites across Australia. The role focuses on providing practical safety guidance to operational teams, conducting inspections and audits, and driving continuous improvement in safety culture.

You will partner with site leaders, lead investigations, deliver toolbox talks and help implement WHS legislation and company policies. This is a hands-on, field-based position with a focus on real outcomes and safe work

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in an HSE advisory or safety role within construction, mining, heavy industry or high-risk environments.
• Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
• Experience conducting inspections, safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HSE advice, coaching and guidance to operational teams, supervisors and site leadership.
• Identify risks through proactive workplace inspections, audits, hazard identifications and risk assessments.
• Support investigations, identify root causes and coordinate corrective and preventative actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety training and encourage participation in HSEQ initiatives.
• Strengthen compliance by implementing HSE policies and site-specific requirements.
• Develop practical risk controls with operational teams and promote safe work practices.
• Maintain accurate HSE records and monitor safety performance for continuous improvement.
