Job summary

PPM seeks a Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor for its Berth and Commodity Handling Projects in the Illawarra region. You will lead safety and environmental practices, coordinating with project teams to embed a proactive safety culture.

The role requires 5+ years in construction with HS&E focus and a strong grasp of Australian regulations. Civil works experience and WHS qualifications are essential, with MS Office and scheduling skills valuable for project governance.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction, with 2+ years in a dedicated HS&E role.
Proven experience on civil construction projects.
Strong understanding of Australian Safety & Environmental Regulations.
Qualifications in Work Health and Safety (Cert IV or Diploma preferred).

Responsibilities

Provide Safety & Environmental leadership across all construction activities.
Maintain awareness and compliance with HS&E management plans.
Develop and govern project HS&E documentation and systems.
Monitor site activities and support incident management and safety improvement initiatives.
Assist in risk assessments, environmental reporting and stakeholder coordination.
Audit contractor safety documentation and project compliance.
