Job summary

Downer is seeking an experienced Delivery Lead HR to join the Group Technology team within the Chief Financial Officer. The role leads HR technology delivery and continuous improvement across complex platforms, partnering with People & Culture, leaders and strategic vendors to ensure stable, secure and business-aligned outcomes.

You will influence HR tech strategy, modernisation and automation, delivering value while maintaining governance and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certifications in service management, project delivery, or technology governance desirable.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management experience desirable.
• 7+ years' experience in information technology, digital services, delivery, operations or a related role.
• Experience working in complex enterprise environments with internal teams, business stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Experience translating technical requirements into practical actions, standards and service outcomes.
• Experience supporting governance, risk management or continuous improvement activities relevant to the Delivery Lead HR role.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application services, business processes and service management practices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technology outcomes.
• Knowledge of change, release, incident and problem management practices.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of HR technology changes and improvements.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technology outcomes.
• Stay informed on HR technology trends, AI capabilities and vendor roadmaps.
• Champion automation and data-driven decision making to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
• Assess new technologies balancing security, risk and business value to keep Downer's People Platforms future-ready.
• Drive planning and coordination of delivery activities in line with objectives and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Platform Owners, Solution Leads, engineers and partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure services are reliable, secure, scalable and fit for purpose.
• Lead change, release, testing, cutover and service transition activities.
• Drive operational readiness and ensure new capabilities are transitioned into support.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation and service performance across HR tech.
• Monitor risks, issues and dependencies with governance and compliance alignment.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives for system stability and customer experience.
• Build relationships across Group Technology and stakeholders to foster collaboration.
