Job summary

BMI Group is seeking an experienced HR Sweeper/Water Cart Operator in East Ipswich to operate HR vehicles, maintain equipment and deliver safe, reliable service in a safety-focused team. The role requires minimum 2 years HR operating experience and a current HR license.

You will complete logbooks, pre-start checklists, basic maintenance, refueling and keep records up to date. Typical hours are 7am–5pm Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime.

• Commitment to safe work practices and WHS.
• Ability to complete logbooks and daily running sheets accurately.

• Operate HR vehicles safely and confidently.
• Maintain and clean equipment; refuel and perform minor maintenance.
• Complete logbooks, pre-start checklists and daily running sheets.
• Keep accurate plant and vehicle records and comply with WHS and environmental rules.

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced HR Sweeper/Water Cart Operator to join our team at East Ipswich. You’ll take pride in maintaining equipment, delivering exceptional service, and working in a safety-focused, professional environment. Key Requirements

• Minimum 2 years HR Operating experience
• Current HR license for the above equipment

Hours of Work

• Typical hours: 7am to 5pm, Monday - Friday.
• Occasional weekend work (every second or third Saturday)
• Overtime and penalty rates apply

About You

• Committed to safe work practices
• Skilled in operating HR vehicles
• 1-3 years prior experience working in Sweeper
• Able to keep equipment clean, reliable, and safe, including minor maintenance (refueling, lubrication, greasing)
• Diligent in completing logbooks, pre-start checklists, and daily running sheets

• Proven experience operating HR Vehicles safely and confidently
• Strong understanding of WHS principles and environmental responsibilities
• Ability to maintain accurate plant and vehicle records
