Job summary

Saunders Waste Management in Brisbane is seeking an experienced HR skip truck driver to join our growing team. You will operate HR skip trucks around Brisbane and adjacent areas, focusing on safety, load securing and timely waste collection.

We offer full-time hours with penalty rates, uniforms and PPE, ongoing training, and potential progression to permanent roles. Immediate start for candidates with a valid QLD HR licence and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid unrestricted QLD HR Licence.
• Minimum 12 months HR driving experience around Brisbane metro/suburbs.
• Must have a clean driving record and can provide driver history.
• Be physically able to complete tarping/de-tarping of bins, secure loads on trucks with straps and chains.

Responsibilities

• Operate HR skip trucks across Brisbane metro/suburbs.
• Tarp and secure loads using straps and chains.
• Maintain safe driving practices and report incidents.
• Handle overtime and weekend work as required.
• Participate in induction and training programs; opportunities for progression within Saunders Waste Family.

Skills and experience

• Must holda current and valid unrestricted QLD HR Licence

• Be physically able to complete tarping/de-tarping of bins, secure loads on trucks with straps and chains, entering/exiting trucks 20+ times per shift
• Reliable, trustworthy and have a positive 'can do attitude', flexible to change, efficient, and ability to problem solve
