Job summary

Macquarie University seeks an experienced Manager, Positions and Appointments to lead the HR Shared Services delivering position establishment and appointment services. You will guide a capable team, ensure data and systems underpin efficient processes, and deliver accurate onboarding for staff across the University Group.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team delivering HR operations or shared services.
• Proven experience in position establishment, appointments, onboarding or related lifecycle services.
• Technical competency with HRIS/workflow technology (Workday or equivalent).
• Experience designing end-to-end services with data-driven improvements.
• Experience establishing service performance standards and reporting.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of position establishment and appointment services with stakeholders.
• Build and manage a high-performing team with capacity development and performance management.
• Provide operational oversight of HR services related to position establishment and appointments.
• Plan and manage processes, standards, methods and tools for efficient service delivery.
• Maintain high data quality and develop dashboards for visibility and decision-making.
• Manage technology solutions enabling service delivery, including testing and upgrades.
• Develop long-term customer relationships and balance stakeholder demands.
• Lead analysis of HR services to identify value improvements and enhancements.
