Job summary

Randstad Pty is partnering with a leading environmental services and waste management company to urgently source an experienced Heavy Rigid (HR) Hooklift Driver for permanent night shifts in Keysborough, VIC. You will operate a modern fleet, delivering and swapping large bins for commercial clients across the region.

Required is proven hooklift experience, an HR licence, and the ability to work autonomously overnight with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Licence: Hold a current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence (or higher) with a clean driving record.
• Experience (MANDATORY): You must have proven, demonstrable experience operating hooklift systems.
• Availability: Must be fully available and committed to working Night Shifts.
• Safety Focus: A strong, uncompromising commitment to safety, compliance, and zero-harm workplace practices.
• Physical Fitness: Fit to perform the manual tasks associated with securing loads and operating heavy vehicle equipment.
• Reliability: Excellent time management, punctuality, and the ability to work autonomously overnight.

Responsibilities

• Hooklift Operations: Safely and efficiently operate HR hooklift trucks to deliver, swap, and remove large roll‑on/roll‑off commercial waste bins.
• Route Navigation: Execute scheduled night‑shift runs across the Melbourne/Keysborough region in a timely manner.
• Load Management: Ensure all loads are correctly secured, tarped (if required), and fully compliant with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and heavy vehicle regulations.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre‑start and post‑shift vehicle inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
• Administration: Accurately complete run sheets, digital logbooks, and tipping dockets.
• Safety First: Adhere strictly to all site safety rules, environmental guidelines, and traffic management protocols.

About the Opportunity

We are currently partnering with an industry-leading, global environmental services and waste management company to urgently source an experienced Heavy Rigid (HR) Hooklift Driver.

Based out of a busy depot in Keysborough, this is a permanent night-shift role offering stability and excellent earning potential for the right operator. You will be operating a modern, well-maintained fleet, servicing commercial and industrial clients across the region.

PLEASE NOTE: This role requires hitting the ground running. Demonstrated, hands‑on experience operating Hooklift trucks is strictly mandatory. If you do not have previous hooklift experience, your application will not be considered for this specific role.
