Job summary

CoreStaff is seeking an experienced Hook Truck Operator to join our team for an ongoing opportunity based at Liddell Power Station. Immediate start, Monday to Friday day shift, and an hourly rate of $47 plus allowances for the right candidate.

As a Hook Truck Operator you will deliver, collect and relocate bins on demolition and construction sites, perform pre-start checks, and maintain accurate job records while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current HR Driver's Licence is essential.
• Hook Lift Truck experience with at least 12 months preferred.
• Ability to operate automatic and manual trucks.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate hook lift bin trucks to deliver, collect and relocate bins across sites.
• Load, unload and secure bins per site and transport requirements.
• Perform daily pre-start inspections and report defects.
• Record bin movements and maintain job numbers per run sheets.
• Coordinate deliveries with supervisors, site personnel and customers.
• Support general site duties while maintaining safety and productivity.

About the Role

As a Hook Truck Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating hook lift bin trucks to deliver, collect and relocate bins across demolition, construction and industrial sites.
• Safely loading, unloading and securing bins in accordance with site and transport requirements.
• Completing daily pre-start inspections, identifying defects and maintaining vehicle presentation and compliance.
• Following daily run sheets, recording bin movements and accurately maintaining job number records.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors, site personnel and customers to coordinate deliveries and collections.
• Assisting with general site duties as required while maintaining a safe, productive and professional work environment.

What We're Looking For

• Current HR Driver's Licence (essential).
• Previous Hook Lift Truck experience, with a minimum of 12 months preferred.
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual/synchromesh trucks highly regarded.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screen.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Experience working across demolition, waste management, construction or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify vehicle or equipment defects is advantageous.
