Job summary

Randstad is seeking reliable HR Drivers to service commercial waste routes across Brisbane’s Southside with early 2:00 AM starts and 10–12 hour shifts. You will operate Front Lift and Rear Lift vehicles, follow efficient routes, and perform safety inspections to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The role offers top tier pay, Monday–Friday roster, and an immediate start for qualified candidates who are safety-focused and capable of independent driving in urban Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Mandatory HR (Heavy Rigid) licence or higher is required.
• Experience operating Front Lift or Rear Lift is highly regarded; training available.
• Strong knowledge of Brisbane roads, CBD driving knowledge essential.
• Available for 2:00 AM starts and 10–12 hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
• Able to pass pre-employment screening and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Front Lift and Rear Lift commercial waste trucks.
• Navigate scheduled routes across Brisbane CBD and metro areas.
• Operate hydraulic lift systems and automated bin mechanisms.
• Perform manual handling and maneuver wheelie bins when needed.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks.

Pay Rate: $48.77/hr (ordinary)

Schedule: Monday to Friday | ~2:00 AM Starts (10-12 Hour Shifts)

About the Opportunity

Join a well-established, industry-leading waste management provider operating out of Brisbane's Southside. We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers to service commercial collection routes across the Brisbane metropolitan area and CBD.

This is an ongoing role offering long, consistent hours (10-12 hours/day) with early morning starts so you can beat the traffic and secure high weekly take-home pay.

The Role & Responsibilities

• Safely operate modern Front Lift and Rear Lift commercial waste collection vehicles.

• Navigate scheduled collection routes across Brisbane and the CBD efficiently.

• Operate hydraulic lift systems and automated bin mechanisms.

• Perform manual handling tasks, including maneuvering, pushing, and pulling wheelie bins when required.

• Maintain strict safety standards and carry out daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.

What We're Looking For

• Mandatory: Current and valid HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's licence or above.

• Experience: Prior experience operating Front Lift or Rear Lift trucks is highly regarded (happy to train motivated HR drivers).

• Local Knowledge: Strong understanding of Brisbane roads, with CBD driving knowledge essential.

• Reliability: Available for 2:00 AM starts and capable of working 10-12 hour shifts, Monday to Friday.

• Fitness: Comfortable with early starts and the physical nature of waste handling.

• Compliance: Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening.
