Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy vehicles to deliver a range of goods and materials to customers.
• Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring on-time and damage-free deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain logbooks in accordance with regulations.
• Safely operate a HIAB crane to load, unload and deliver goods to customer sites (training to be provided).
• Adhere to all relevant road rules, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the transport operations.
• Reporting defects, accidents or violations.

About the role

Coastal Transport Services' is seeking an experienced Heavy Rigid driver to join our team in the Orange. In this full-time position, you will safely operate a HIAB truck to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate heavy vehicles to deliver a range of goods and materials to customers

Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring on-time and damage-free deliveries

Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete necessary paperwork

Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain logbooks in accordance with regulations

Safely operate a HIAB crane to load, unload and deliver goods to customer sites (training to be provided), manual hand unload may also be required.

Adhere to all relevant road rules, company policies, and safety procedures

Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the transport operations

Reporting defects, accidents or violations

What we're looking for

Current HR driver's licence with on-road experience

HIAB experience desired but not essential, willingness to undertake training

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures

Ability to meet delivery schedules and escal-ate late or missed deliveries

Ability to pass fitness for duty/driving medical, mandatory drug & alcohol testing

Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (COR)

White card or willingness to obtain prior to commencement

Applicants must be able to provide a current driving record issued by Service NSW.
