Job summary

Coastal Transport Services, based in Wetherill Park NSW, is recruiting for multiple full-time driver positions across a range of work scopes and vehicle types. The roles involve safely operating company vehicles to complete deliveries and collections, providing professional customer service, and maintaining accurate records.

Ideal candidates hold a current and valid licence, with experience in transport or delivery driving, load restraint knowledge, and the ability to pass a Fitness to Drive

Qualifications

• Current and valid Driver’s Licence appropriate to the position.
• Experience in transport or delivery driving.
• Experience delivering building materials preferred.
• Load restraint knowledge and safe transport practices essential.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to pass Fitness to Drive medical and mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
• Forklift ticket advantage for yard/warehouse coverage.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to complete deliveries and collections.
• Deliver goods safely, efficiently and within required timeframes.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with loading and unloading as required.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects or maintenance needs.
• Communicate schedules, delays and delivery requirements with customers and Operations.
• Follow allocated routes and schedules to maintain efficient service.

Due to continued growth, Coastal Transport Services is currently recruiting for multiple full-time positions across a range of work scopes and vehicle types:

1 x NLR Delivery Driver (C-Class licence minimum, HR desired or willing to upgrade)

What you’ll be doing

• Safely operate company vehicles to complete deliveries and collections in accordance with road laws and company procedures
• Deliver goods safely, efficiently and within required timeframes
• Provide professional and courteous customer service
• Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records
• Assist with loading and unloading where required
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and promptly report defects or maintenance requirements
• Communicate effectively with customers and the Operations team regarding schedules, delays and delivery requirements
• Follow allocated routes and schedules to maintain efficient service
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and WHS requirements
• Maintain a clean, tidy and presentable vehicle
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our transport operations

What we’re looking for

• Current and valid Driver’s Licence appropriate to the position
• Previous experience in transport, logistics or delivery driving
• Experience delivering building and construction materials – highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience securing and restraining loads, with a strong understanding of load restraint requirements and safe transport practices – essential
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to provide a current Service NSW driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks
• Ability to pass a Fitness to Drive medical and mandatory drug and alcohol testing
• Forklift ticket highly regarded- can be utilised for yard/warehouse coverage
• Current White Card
