Job summary

Mallesons Stephen Jaques is seeking an HR Coordinator on a 12-month contract, based in Sydney or Melbourne. The role spans the full employee lifecycle, with rotation across stages and a focus on HR administration, processes and employee experiences.

You will join the national People & Development team, supporting human resources across projects, reporting and HRIS updates, with strong opportunities to develop advisory and partnering capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative role within legal, professional services or HR.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Professional communication and stakeholder management.
• HR qualifications or related field with HRIS knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience with HRIS or LMS systems is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• HR Administration: manage lifecycle processes (onboarding, changes, offboarding).
• Maintain HRIS records, documentation, and reporting.
• Support payroll coordination and data accuracy.
• Manage HR inbox and respond to queries.
• HR Projects & Coordination: support performance and remuneration reviews; coordinate initiatives and training.
• Prepare reports and maintain HR policies and intranet.
• Learning & Development: coordinate training bookings and records; support internal programmes.
