Job summary

Peoplecorp is seeking a capable P&C Business Partner to support a large operational workforce and fluctuating recruitment volumes in Sydney. You will advise on employee relations, coaching managers and driving end-to-end ER matters, while partnering with leaders on recruitment, awards and IR activities.

This hands-on role requires strong communication, commercial thinking and the ability to balance competing priorities in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Solid generalist P&C background with end-to-end ER experience.
• Experience with recruitment, awards and industrial relations is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and a commercial, solutions-focused mindset.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing ER matters including grievances, performance and disciplinary processes end-to-end
• Coaching managers through employee relations matters and providing practical advice
• Supporting the interpretation and application of the relevant Industry Award
• Assist in managing high-volume recruitment during peak periods, including screening and candidate management
• Supporting workforce planning and recruitment strategy as volumes fluctuate
• Building strong relationships across the workforce
• Supporting annual development and performance processes
• Contributing to broader P&C projects across safety, L&D, systems and process improvement
• Supporting SAP automation and the improvement of P&C processes
• Working alongside the wider P&C team to ensure a consistent approach across the business

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this is a broad P&C Business Partnering role. You’ll partner closely with operational leaders and managers, providing practical P&C advice and coaching across the employee lifecycle. With a large operational workforce and fluctuating recruitment volumes, no two days will look the same.

THE CRITERIA

We’re looking for a complete generalist business partner,who enjoys being close to the operation and getting involved in the detail. You’ll bring solid generalist P&C experience with strong end-to-end ER capability, including performance, grievance and disciplinary matters, as well as confidence coaching and partnering with managers. Experience across recruitment, awards and industrial relations will be highly regarded. Most importantly, you’ll be a strong communicator with a practical, commercial and solutions-focused approach, who can manage competing priorities, work autonomously and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. Industry experience isn’t essential, we’re open-minded about where you’ve come from, provided you’re comfortable working in a hands-on operational setting.
