Job summary

people2people is seeking a senior HR Business Partner for a major infrastructure project in Sydney. You will partner with operational leaders, balancing strategic workforce initiatives with hands-on HR support.

Reporting into the Head of People & Culture, you will manage employee relations matters end-to-end and coach leaders through change in a fast-paced environment. Experience in large, complex environments is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' HR Business Partner or senior HR advisory experience.
• Strong employee relations and case management capability.
• Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments.
• Commercial, practical and solutions-focused mindset.
• Experience in large complex environments or infrastructure projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

This is an opportunity to join a major infrastructure project in a true HR Business Partner position, partnering with operational leaders across a large diverse workforce. Working within a supportive People & Culture team, you'll play a key role in driving workforce initiatives, managing employee relations matters from initial enquiry through to resolution and supporting leaders through change in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, you'll be a trusted advisor to stakeholders, balancing strategic partnering with hands-on HR generalist support.

The Role

In this varied position, you'll provide end-to-end HR business partnering support across a complex operational workforce.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with leaders on a broad range of people, performance and workforce matters


• Managing employee relations cases including performance, conduct, grievances and investigations


• Coaching and influencing leaders through complex and sensitive situations


• Supporting workforce planning, organisational change and consultation activities


• Providing guidance on employment legislation, policies and procedures


• Assisting with onboarding, performance reviews, internal mobility and offboarding processes


• Building strong relationships across operational and corporate sites

About You

• 5+ years' HR Business Partner, People Partner or Senior HR Advisory experience


• Strong employee relations and case management capability


• Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments


• Demonstrate initiative to influence and coach stakeholders at all levels


• A commercial, practical and solutions-focused approach


• Experience within large complex business models or within infrastructure/construction/project environments will be highly regarded


• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Employee Relations or a related discipline
