The role is hands-on, requires partnership with managers, collaboration with training specialists on skill gaps, and leading recruitment for corporate or business-unit roles with occasional regional travel.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor.
• Travel across regional Victoria and Tasmania.
• Strong, practical working knowledge of Australian IR frameworks, EAs, and Modern Awards.

Responsibilities

• Go-To HR: primary contact for portfolio people matters, provide advice on EAs, Modern Awards, disciplinary issues, and investigations.
• Partnering & Coaching: work with managers to coach through people matters and challenges.
• Program & Engagement: collaborate with training specialists to spot skill gaps and run local reward, recognition, and retention programs.
• Portfolio Recruitment: handle corporate or unit-specific hiring when roles open up.

The Role

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage shifting priorities, and prefer active, hands-on portfolio management, this role is built for you.

As an HR Business Partner, you will take ownership of designated portfolios across Victoria and Tasmania. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you’ll be the main go-to person for leadeers and employees. You’ll handle the day-to-day HR matters, give practical ER/IR advice, and keep operations running smoothly across your business units.
