National Affordable Housing Ltd is seeking an on-site Housing Officer based at a Cheltenham residential site in Melbourne. You will lead end-to-end tenancy management, liaising with residents, trades and contractors, while ensuring compliance and timely records.

This role involves occasional travel to Mount Waverley, Moonee Ponds, and Geelong to support a network of social housing sites. Ideal candidates will have strong tenant relations, property inspection experience, and a calm, proactive

Competenze

• Experience in end-to-end property management including leases, inspections, arrears and breaches and VCAT processes.
• Facilities management experience with contractor oversight for the Cheltenham property.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse residents and stakeholders.
• Proactive, positive and calm approach to resident communication and resilience in challenging situations.
• Must hold a current Australian driver’s licence and pass a Criminal History Check.

About the Role

Based at a residential apartment building at Cheltenham, this onsite Housing Officer will work to create a welcoming, safe, and supportive residential community, linking social housing residents with opportunities, connections and activities in the surrounding area. The role will provide end-to-end tenancy management of this portfolio, ensuring that the building is well maintained and building positive relationships with trades and contractors, whilst working within a small team of dedicated onsite social Housing Officers across greater Melbourne.

Travel Requirements

This position, whilst primarily located at the Cheltenham site, also includes periodic rostered work at Mount Waverley, Moonee Ponds, and Geelong.
