Mission Australia is seeking a Housing Content Lead – Staff Resources to shape knowledge sharing across Housing Operations. You will create, review and improve staff resources, transforming complex processes into practical resources for staff capability and service quality.

You will collaborate with operational leaders and SMEs, drive documentation governance, and support readiness for new projects, ensuring accessible, high‑quality content for nationwide teams.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, writing, business, public policy or related field.
• Experience creating, reviewing and improving operational resources and procedural documentation.
• Ability to transform complex information into clear, practical content.
• Strong editing, proofreading and document development capabilities.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and feedback incorporation skills.
• Excellent workshop facilitation and consultation abilities.

Your opportunity

Behind every successful tenancy, service improvement and operational decision is a foundation of clear, practical guidance that helps teams work confidently and consistently. As our Housing Content Lead – Staff Resources, you will play a vital role in shaping how knowledge is shared across Mission Australia Housing, transforming complex processes into accessible resources that support staff capability, service quality and positive outcomes for tenants and communities nationwide. Working closely with operational leaders, subject matter experts and frontline teams, you will create, review and continuously improve a broad range of staff resources, helping drive consistency, efficiency and best practice across Housing Operations. Acting as the custodian of operational knowledge, you will ensure procedures, SOPs, guides and other resources remain accurate, accessible and aligned with service designs developed by the Business Analyst. Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Develop and maintain high-quality operational resources for Housing Operations, including policies, procedures, guides, templates and checklists.
• Create new staff-facing documentation to support emerging business needs, projects and service growth initiatives.
• Review, edit and enhance existing documents to improve clarity, relevance, usability and consistency.
• Translate complex operational, business and system processes into practical and easy-to-use resources.
• Manage the full document development lifecycle from concept through to publication.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, frontline teams and operational leaders to gather content and validate processes.
• Facilitate workshops and consultation activities to support resource development and continuous improvement.
• Maintain document governance practices, including version control, document registers and review schedules.
• Support operational readiness by developing resources required for new projects, systems and service changes.
• Drive continuous improvement in content development, accessibility, knowledge management and staff experience.

Requirements for success

• Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, writing, business, public policy or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in content development, technical writing or operational documentation within a complex environment.
• Experience developing, reviewing and improving operational resources and procedural documentation.
• Ability to transform complex information into clear, practical and user-friendly content.
• Strong editing, proofreading and document development capabilities.
• Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders and incorporating feedback into resource development.
• Strong workshop facilitation and consultation skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management platforms such as SharePoint.
• Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
