Kingfisher Bay Resort on K’gari is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a dedicated team and uphold premium guest experiences. The role requires a motivated leader with a proven track record in housekeeping excellence and staff development.

This permanent part-time position offers live-on island accommodation, relocation support, and up to 76 hours per fortnight, with immediate start for the right candidate. Applicants should be ready to relocate to the island.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a housekeeping supervisor role in a similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a close team environment.
• Current Australian manual car driver's licence (essential).
• Previous hotel or resort cleaning experience.
• Prioritise and organise multiple tasks with a commitment to deliver results.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and resolve problems.
• Experience in motivating team members to achieve targets and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Housekeeping Manager with workforce management, rostering and operations.
• Supervise cleaning of hotel rooms and apartments to resort standards.
• Train staff to maintain cleanliness and standards.
• Mentor team leaders.
• Oversee disposal of laundry and waste as needed.
• Ensure policies, maintenance and HSE reporting compliance.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and professional Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Kingfisher Bay Resort on beautiful K'gari. The position requires a positive and motivated leader and proven ‘all-rounder’ with a track record in delivering high housekeeping standards.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you must be passionate about creating a skilled and positive team environment and prioritise the delivery of a premium guest experience.

This is a permanent part-time position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate is available for an immediate start and must be able to relocate to the island for this "live-on" position.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Supportingthe Housekeep ing Manager with workforce management, administration, rostering and operational service of the entire housekeeping department.
• Supervise and perform various cleaning duties of Hotel Rooms and Apartments in compliance to resort standards
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms and provide necessary training to staff to ensure standards are met
• Supervise and provide mentorship to team leaders
• Monitor as required the disposal of laundry and garbage and recycle items where necessary
• Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to, including compliance of maintenance and HSE reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a housekeeping supervisor role in a similar environment with meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work in a close team environment
• Current Australian manual car drivers' licence (essential)
• Previous hotel or resort cleaning experience
