Job summary

Kingfisher Bay Resort is seeking a Food & Beverage Duty Manager to support the F&B Manager in daily operations and supervise resort outlets. You will help drive profitability, ensure service standards, and lead a trained team in a dynamic hospitality environment on K’gari Island.

The role requires at least 2 years in a supervisory F&B role, RSA certification, and strong leadership. Relocation to the staff village on Fraser Island is part of the opportunity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Food and Beverage Supervisory role.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements under the QLD Liquor Licensing Laws.
• Authorization to live and work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Support the Food & Beverage Manager in operations of the F&B department.
• Coordinate and supervise day-to-day functioning of the Resort’s F&B outlets.
• Assist in managing outlets in the absence of the F&B Manager.
• Maximise profitability and meet customer service expectations.
• Train and support team members to Kingfisher Bay Resort standards.

About the Role

The Food and Beverage Duty Manager will be responsible for supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in the operations of the Food & Beverage department at Kingfisher Bay Resort according to the company standard.Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the day-to-day functioning of the Resort’s Food and Beverage outlets, the Food & Beverage Duty Manager will assist in managing the food & beverage outlets in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager.

Other responsibilities include maximizing profitability, meeting and exceeding customer’s needs and service expectations, ensuring team members are trained to the Kingfisher Bay Resort Standard, and training and supporting all team members in all areas of the operation.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Food and Beverage Supervisory role
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Understanding of Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements under the QLD Liquor Licensing Laws
• Authorization to live and work in Australia
• Competent in barista and beverage making duties (highly regarded)
• Demonstrated food and beverage skills, including a la carte and bar service (highly regarded)
• Food Safety Course (Essential)
• Current QLD RSA certificate (Essential)
• Espresso Coffee Making (Desirable)
• RMLV certificateor ability to complete
