Job summary

Minor Hotels, owner of Avani Living Queen's Wharf Residences in Brisbane, seeks a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to lead the department. You will oversee housekeeping operations, drive service standards, manage budgets and develop a high-performing team across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.

You will implement training, schedule seven-day rosters, monitor safety and cleanliness, and collaborate with contractors and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing or supervising a housekeeping team.
• Ability to control departmental budgets, supplies and resources.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead a diverse team.
• Strong time management, delegation and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standard of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Lead, supervise and motivate housekeeping team to deliver excellent cleaning services.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors.
• Oversee on-the-job training and development for cleaning staff.
• Develop and manage staff rosters to meet seven-day operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records for finances, maintenance and inventory.
