Responsibilities

• Carry out allocated general cleaning duties to meet guest expectations.
• Maintain security procedures to protect guest confidentiality and safety.
• Clean guest rooms, storage areas and corridors to required standards.
• Replenish guest supplies and advertising materials in rooms and bathrooms.
• Report lost property following correct procedures.
• Perform programmed cleaning duties as allocated.
• Handle guest laundry according to hotel policy.
• Use and clean equipment with care and report faults.
• Keep department equipment maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with regular equipment stocktaking.
• Ensure secure handling of keys and rooms, report suspicious activity.
• Understand safe usage and storage of cleaning agents per health regs.
• Attend to other duties as requested by Management and Supervisors

Cleveland Estate Macedon Ranges Hotel is actively hiring new customer service staff to join our friendly, professional and supportive Housekeeping team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• To carry out allocated general cleaning duties, achieving established
  standards of cleanliness and presentation to meet guests’ needs and exceed their expectations about the cleanliness of the room areas of the hotel.
• Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety
• Clean guest rooms, storage areas and corridors as allocated to the required
  standard.
• Ensure guest supplies and advertising material in bedrooms and bathrooms
  are replenished to the correct standards for the room type.
• Report any lost property following correct procedures
• Carry out programmed / regular cleaning duties as allocated.
• Ensure guest laundry is handled in line with Hotel policy.
• Use and clean equipment with care, reporting any defective equipment as
  set down in procedures manual.
• Ensure all department equipment is maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with regular equipment stocktaking.
• Ensure the security of keys and guest rooms at all times by adherence to
  security procedures. Report any suspicious persons or items to Supervisor
• Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with
  health and safety regulations and manufacturers instructions.
• Attend to other duties as requested by Management and Supervisors

• Experience in high quality cleaning and customer service highly regarded
