Job summary

Experienced Support Worker for NDIS Participants

Are you a skilled and compassionate professional with experience in supporting NDIS participants with higher needs, requiring 24/7 support?
We are seeking highly trained and passionate individuals to provide support for multiple participants across multiple sites.

About the Role

In this position, you will work closely with NDIS participants who require 24 hour in-home/SIL support. Your responsibilities will include:

• MUST be available for 2 sleepovers a week 3pm-9am
• Supporting participants in daily activities, including personal hygiene and cooking.
• Working in accordance with PBSP guidelines.
• Managing behaviours of concern using evidence-based strategies.
• Collaborating with the participant’s care team to ensure consistency in support strategies.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

Qualifications: Formal qualifications in Community Services, Individual Support, Mental Health, or related fields.

Experience: At least 12 months of recent experience in the Healthcare industry in roles such as High-Intensity Supports, Disability Complex Needs, Mental Health, Behavioural Support, Nursing, or Social Work.

Training: Certification in behaviours of concern or similar frameworks is highly desirable.

Compliance: Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, Police Check, Basic Life Support/CPR certification, and First Aid qualifications are mandatory.

Transport: A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
