Job summary

Xavier College seeks a collaborative House Director – Teaching and Learning at their Two Wells Campus (R–11, expanding to Year 12 in 2027). A key POR3 leadership role, it combines strategic and operational duties to advance teaching excellence, curriculum development and student outcomes across Years 7–12.

The role includes a teaching component and aligns with the Teacher Position Information Document. January 2027 start for a 4-year fixed-term contract.

• Experience in school leadership and curriculum development.
• Ability to mentor and develop staff through coaching and collaboration.
• Strong communication and professional judgement essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching and learning excellence across Years 7–12
• Shape curriculum innovation and evidence informed pedagogical practice
• Mentor and develop staff through coaching, collaboration and professional growth opportunities
• Influence student achievement through academic leadership and overseeing case management
• Lead and support Curriculum Leaders to deliver high quality learning outcomes
• Drive the effective integration of digital technology in teaching and learning
• Work as part of a dynamic leadership team focused on student success and continuous improvement
• Partner with the House Director – Pastoral Care to provide holistic support for students
• Guide students and families through subject selection and future pathway planning
• Make a meaningful impact on curriculum development, staff capability and student outcomes
