Job summary

Helping Hand Aged Care in Jamestown (SA) is seeking a friendly Hotel Services Assistant to provide catering, housekeeping, laundry and utilities support in our Residential Care Home. You will help meet resident needs and maintain high cleanliness and meal service standards.

The role is casual, requiring good communication, ability to use apps like Outlook, and the flexibility to make decisions and work independently. NDIS screening is required or willing to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use smartphones and apps (e.g., Outlook).
• Proven ability to make decisions, take initiative and work independently.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Based in the Residential Care Home, as our invaluable Hotel Service Assistant, you will be responsible for providing catering, housekeeping, laundry and utilities services to meet the needs of Helping Hand residents.

• Delivering high-quality cleaning, laundry and meal preparation services to a standard determined by Helping Hand
• Contributing to improving services and implementing those improvements
• Sharing skills and knowledge with other staff to support their learning

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Good communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and accurately
• Ability to operate smartphones and apps (such as Microsoft Outlook)
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions, take initiative and work independently
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following

• Previous experience in age care industry
