Job summary

St Vincent’s Care Maroochydore is seeking a Hotel Service Assistant (Cleaning) to help create a welcoming, professional environment for residents. The role supports cleaning and laundry tasks in a modern 130-bed aged care facility on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

This casual position offers Monday to Friday 7:00–14:00 with 1–2 shifts per week, with potential future transition to part-time. No-cost uniforms, flu vaccination, EAP, and access to FP and discount programs are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide efficient delivery of cleaning services and support in laundry services when required.
• Experience in an aged care facility or hospital environment ideal but not essential.
• Experience in commercial cleaning will be considered.
• Ability to work autonomously and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Ability to follow directives as per care plan.
• Current or willing to apply for a NDIS Worker Screening Check.

As a Hotel Service Assistant (Cleaning) you will be part of an experienced and dedicated team that is committed to creating a welcoming, professional and caring environment for the residents of St Vincent’s Care, Maroochydore. Our Aged Care service is located in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, which is ideally located within walking distance of restaurants and boutiques along Duporth Avenue, the Sunshine Plaza shopping centre, the Maroochy RSL, Maroochydore Rotary Park, and the Maroochy River. Our 130-bed facility is a modern, lifestyle-oriented aged care service located in a master‑planned community precinct on Queensland’s famed Sunshine Coast.

Things that work for us

This role is offered on a casual basis, with 1 to 2 shifts available per week. There may be opportunities in the future to transition to a permanent part‑time position.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 0700-1400 (7am to 2pm)
