Job summary

Hyde Perth is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead operations and guest experiences in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will oversee the hotel in the absence of senior management and ensure safety, service quality and operational excellence.

As a visible hotel leader, you will resolve issues, support teams, and coordinate with departments to deliver seamless guest experiences, including after-hours and off-peak periods.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or management experience in Front Office or hotel operations.
• Strong leadership and ability to guide and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, composed and solutions-focused under pressure.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and First Aid.
• A valid driver’s license is a mandatory requirement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Front Office to ensure efficient check-in/out.
• Manage guest arrivals/departures with positive first/last impressions.
• Respond to guest enquiries, feedback and complaints to resolution.
• Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and other departments.
• Act as Chief Warden and First Aid Responder during emergencies.
• Provide leadership and coaching to team; support operational decisions.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties and special projects as required.
