Job summary

AC Hotel by Marriott Gold Coast is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Officer to keep the hotel operating safely and to our exacting standards.

You’ll be hands-on, proactive and ready to handle day-to-day maintenance, respond to repair requests and keep guest areas, rooms and public spaces polished. This pre-opening role offers the chance to shape the property from the ground up and to benefit from Marriott's global training, discounts and career opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience preferred but not essential.
• Trade qualification or relevant technical experience viewed favorably.
• Ability to work across different shifts, including weekends/public holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Complete general repairs and minor maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Attend to minor plumbing issues, light replacements and basic repairs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools, equipment and hotel facilities.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, hazards and safety issues.
• Respond promptly to operational and guest-related maintenance requests.
• Help maintain guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces to AC standards.
• Work closely with hotel departments to minimise disruption and resolve issues efficiently.
• Follow Marriott safety, security and quality standards at all times.
• Support other reasonable maintenance tasks as required.
