Job summary

AustraliaVisas in Melbourne seeks a Hotel Facilities & Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering team across properties. You will oversee preventative and reactive maintenance, manage budgets and contractors, and ensure compliance with building, fire, and WHS standards while protecting the guest experience.

You willcoordinate with operations to minimise disruption, drive energy efficiency, and provide regular performance reports to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years in facilities or maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Hotel or commercial property experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facilities and projects to meet schedules, budgets and quality standards.
• Oversee reactive maintenance prioritising guest safety and operations.
• Plan and control the facilities budget including CAPEX and cost-saving initiatives.
• Select and manage external contractors and service agreements.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, fire safety, essential services and inspections.
• Oversee CCTV, access control, networking, fire and power systems maintenance.
• Coordinate refurbishment and minor capital works with minimal guest disruption.
• Monitor energy usage and drive sustainability improvements.
• Report maintenance performance, costs and upcoming works to General Manager.
