Job summary

iStay Precinct Adelaide seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to lead operations, ensuring efficient building systems and safety compliance. You will oversee vendor coordination, preventive maintenance, and capital projects while supporting the Hotel Manager in building a high-standard guest experience.

You will supervise maintenance teams, manage contractor relationships, and drive sustainability initiatives, reporting to the Hotel Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in hands-on maintenance and facilities management for large properties.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, compliance, and safety standards.
• Ability to lead, manage and develop facilities teams.
• Proven track record in contractor management and vendor coordination.
• Good proficiency with MS Office and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the preventative maintenance program to keep building systems efficient and safe.
• Provide hands-on repairs and maintenance across the property as needed.
• Supervise service areas including electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security, hydraulics and approved contractors.
• Oversee general upkeep such as painting, plastering and carpentry.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and regulatory requirements; manage stock, purchasing and Capex requests.
