Job summary

The Langham Melbourne is seeking a full-time Shift Engineer Technician to join our Engineering Team. This non-trade qualification role involves rotating morning and afternoon shifts seven days a week and supports the ongoing maintenance of our KFI programme in public areas and guest rooms.

You will inspect and service doors, frames, walls and ceilings, and guest room furniture while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar environment.
• Experience in some trade-based skill sets.
• Attention to detail.
• Proven experience in working to tight deadlines.
• Ability to work well unsupervised.
• Available to work across a rotating roster involving weekends.
• High level of guest contact requiring excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shift Engineer responsibilities including rotating mornings and afternoon shifts 7 days a week.
• Maintain the KFI programme in Public Areas & Guest Rooms.
• Inspect and maintain doors, frames, corridor walls, ceilings and guest room furniture.
• Inspect and maintain all hotel areas including external fixtures.
• Carry out other duties as directed by Engineering leadership.
• Keep workshops and machinery clean and orderly.
