Job summary

Henkel Adhesives is seeking a Production Operator to manufacture hot melt adhesives following batch sheets, control documents and standard operating procedures. You will operate mixing vessels and production equipment, weigh materials, adjust batches and sample for quality.

In this role you will ensure safe, efficient production, maintain equipment, support on-the-job training and participate in safety drills. A forklift licence and willingness to work shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production, ideally chemicals/adhesives.
• Ability to operate production equipment and weigh materials.
• Attention to quality control and sampling.
• Current forklift licence (LF).
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture hot melt adhesives in accordance with batch sheets, control documents and standard operating procedures.
• Operate mixing vessels and production equipment within the hot melt manufacturing area.
• Weigh raw materials, prepare batches and make necessary adjustments during production.
• Conduct routine quality control testing, including viscosity testing, and collect batch samples.
• Fill, package and label finished products using the required equipment.
• Maintain equipment, ensure good housekeeping standards and identify and diagnose equipment faults.
• Follow occupational health and safety procedures, participate in audits and complete safety training and drills.
• Assist with on-the-job training for batch making and filling processes to support team capability.
