Job summary

Artemus Group is seeking a Host for our new Sydney venue at Manly Wharf. You will be the face of the venue, warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating and ensuring guests' experiences start and end on a high note.

We seek a friendly, professional communicator with strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine passion for hospitality. RSA certification is required, with evening/weekend availability preferred.

Responsibilities

Join our team as a Host at Stanley Manly.

Our newest venue brings together exceptional food, vibrant hospitality and stunning views to create one of Sydney's most exciting dining experiences at Manly Wharf.

As a Host, you'll be the face of the venue and the first point of contact for our guests. You'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, coordinating seating and ensuring every guest's experience starts and ends on a high note.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality.
• Manage reservations and walk-in guests using the venue's booking system.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to maximise guest flow and dining experience.
• Communicate effectively with floor and management teams to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain an accurate waitlist and provide guests with updates on table availability.
• Manage guest arrivals and departures, ensuring a smooth and organised experience.
• Handle guest feedback and escalation concerns where required.
• Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the host stand and entry areas.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to reservations and guest communications.
• Support the wider front-of-house team during service periods.
• Help establish service standards and contribute to the success of the opening team.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a Host, Reception, Reservations or customer-facing hospitality role is highly regarded
• A naturally friendly, confident and professional personality
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
• The ability to remain calm and composed during busy service periods
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Experience using a reservation experience is advantageous
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• RSA Certificate
