Job summary

25hours Hotel The Olympia in Sydney is seeking a Sales Executive to drive hospitality sales, focusing on accommodation groups, meetings, events and private functions. You will build relationships, develop tailored proposals, and convert inbound enquiries with strong follow-up and commercial discipline.

The role requires experience in hotel or hospitality sales, the ability to manage multiple opportunities, and collaboration with Revenue and Reservations to optimise group rates and availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, venue, events, groups or hospitality sales with a strong customer and conversion focus.
• Strong written proposal, negotiation, follow-up and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the reactive sales process for groups, meetings, events and private functions.
• Primary sales contact for reactive MICE, corporate and leisure groups; escalate to Commercial Director.
• Convert inbound demand quickly with clear response times and next actions.
• Develop tailored proposals reflecting how each customer buys and the full 25hours experience.
• Drive upselling across accommodation, F&B, room upgrades, venues and arrival experiences.
• Own social event conversions with upsell opportunities to lift average booking value.
• Manage tentative bookings, option dates, contracts and deposits per hotel policy.
• Maintain accurate revenue and activity information in Delphi and other systems.
• Collaborate with Revenue/Reservations on group rates and availability.
• Partner with Sales Manager on proactive leads and important opportunities.
• Hand over confirmed business with inclusions and contracts to Sales & Event Planning Manager.
• Support client site inspections, famils, showcases and sales events.
