Job summary

BlueCare on Thursday Island is seeking a Hospitality Officer to support residents with food preparation, cooking and delivery in line with safety standards and dietary needs. You will assist with daily operations including housekeeping and laundry while maintaining impeccable hygiene and presenting yourself professionally.

NDIS screening or willingness to obtain is required; remuneration includes $30.05 p/hr + Super, salary packaging and allowances, plus employee discounts and benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality experience in kitchen or cleaning.
• Enthusiasm and strong self-motivation.
• Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and deliver food in adherence with Australian food safety standards and dietary requirements of our elderly residents.
• Be willing to support senior hospitality staff members with daily operations which may include housekeeping and laundry services.
• Uphold impeccable hygiene standards.
