Job summary

IRT Group is seeking a Hospitality Employee for Berala on the Park, a residential care home. Part-time shifts available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays 3:30pm–7:30pm or Saturdays and Sundays 3:30pm–7:30pm, with potential for flexible opportunities.

This is a great role for students or school leavers seeking entry into hospitality within aged care. Responsibilities include meal prep support, delivering meals, laundry duties, and engaging with residents to foster meaningful relationships while

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience is desirable and helpful in this role.
• Empathetic approach and strong customer service are desirable traits.
• Experience in aged care or health settings is an advantage.
• Food Safety Certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic meal preparation with catering staff.
• Deliver and serve meals to residents.
• Handle general laundry including personal laundry.
• Engage with residents to build meaningful relationships.
• Adhere to strict food safety guidelines.
• Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning general areas.

About the Role

We have exciting opportunities available for Hospitality Employees at our IRT Berala on the Park (Auburn) Residential Care Home.

We are looking for permanent part-time employees, working short shifts either on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday from 3:30pm to 7:30pm or Saturdays and Sundays from 3:30pm to 7:30pm.

Your work may include

• Working with catering staff to assist with basic meal preparation
• Delivering and serving meals to our residents
• General laundry duties, including personal laundry
• Interacting with residents and creating meaningful customer relationships
• Adhering to strict food safety guidelines
• Helping with various domestic duties such as cleaning of general areas

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Experience delivering hospitality (desirable)
• A big heart - an empathetic approach and strong customer service skills
• Experience in a similar role in a health or aged care setting (desirable)
• Food Safety Supervision Certification (desirable)
