Job summary

The Flying Horse Hotel Warrnambool is seeking a hands-on Duty Manager to join our busy venue. You will oversee day-to-day operations across Gaming, TAB, and Food & Beverage, leading Front of House and Back of House teams to deliver exceptional service and value to guests.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will recruit, train and develop staff, control labour costs and stock, uphold hotel policies, and maintain a calm, positive, and safety‑minded culture in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years management experience in hospitality operations.
• Strong customer service focus and leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of Gaming, TAB and Food & Beverage operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily hotel operations and hands-on management of venue.
• Drive customer satisfaction and maintain high service standards.
• Recruit, train and develop staff while maintaining a positive culture.
• Assist in labour costs and stock control; ensure policies followed.
• Work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
