Job summary

Bolton Clarke Residential Aged Care Opportunities – Sunshine Coast QLD is seeking casual/temporary laundry staff to join a team dedicated to our residents. The role is based at Centaur, a Residential Aged Care Home in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.

You will launder, press and fold linen, garments and towels, operate laundry equipment, and handle the distribution of items. A background in aged care or hospitality is preferred, with good attention to detail and reliable time management.

Qualifications

• Ideally background in laundries or cleaning within aged care or hospitality.
• Good attention to detail.
• Friendly, positive outlook and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and co-workers.
• Be reliable and have very good time management.
• Have computer skills to complete online ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Laundering, pressing/ironing and folding items such as linen towelling and residents’ garments.
• Cleaning/kitchen cloths, mops and garments.
• Utilising washing, drying, extracting, pressing, folding or other industrial machines/equipment, as required.
• Collection and distribution of personal effects mistakenly sent to the laundry.

The Location

Centaur is a Residential Aged Care Home located in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.

Duties include

• Laundering, pressing/ironing and folding items such as linen towelling and residents’ garments.
